I consider myself as a very determine person. Leaving as refugee, there are time when you have to have a goal, then try to achieve it. So as i became a young adult i learn to still keep that personality with me . I learn that thing are not given in a easy way in life, you have to fight for them. Not always the case but most of the time. When I came American, being illiterate and not having everything the chance to enter kindergartner, i have to learn everything in third grade. While some people might not understand that have what a civil war is but for me , it mean walking for many night with food or water with my father and brothers. It mean seeing many men being minimize in front of their family, because they came from the tribe call krahn . If you probably as me what civil war mean to me , i would tell you,sorrow, cried,sadness would probably give to you.Who are you? that question many boy and girl can answer because their parents had never told them. As for me I would tell you that I am a intelligent , beautiful, respectful,educated young woman from the country of Liberia.I am very pride to be a krahn woman, if you ask that would be half of the answer that I would give to you. Life having been so nice to me but there were many happy time amount them, and I thank god for them. Like they say everything happen for a reason and i heard at the university of Rhodes Island University, it my obligation to made my dad how i want to like in it.
Illinois is in America,but has the most discriminating,neglected people in one part,the state is divide in two area East St.Louis and St.Louis. state is flooded by sewage and also chemical plant that is pensioning the people. But that is not the only problem the people face, the school district is excluding half of it percentage who are black out of their budget In East St.Louis. St.Louis is where everything is good, they have better school and money is never the issuse. In East St.Louis there they have sewage on school ground and the mayor dose not see any thing wrong. The student are prepare for factory job and and little possiblities the have.The little teacher they have , pay check is being cut because the school are tried to clean sewage up. The children don't have faith in their self because they have been told that just because their color was black they coulding have good future. so that met that they would not be able to achieve any goal because their opprotunities was minimize in many .
